Golden & Hoppy

The champagne-like bubbles, distinctive hop bouquet, and balanced character of Liberty Ale revives centuries-old ale brewing traditions that are now more relevant than ever.

First introduced in 1975, Liberty Ale is brewed strictly according to traditional craft brewing methods, and uses only natural ingredients — pale malted barley, fresh whole-cone Cascade hops and a special top-fermenting yeast, and water.

Anchor Steam Beer

Anchor Steam Beer

Amber & Complex

Anchor Steam Beer owes its deep amber color, thick, creamy head, and rich, distinctive flavor to a historic brewing process like none other.

It is a process that combines deep respect for craft brewing tradition with many decades of evolution to arrive at a unique approach: a blend of pale and caramel malts, fermentation with lager yeast at warmer ale temperatures in shallow open-air fermenters, and gentle carbonation in our cellars through an all-natural process called kräusening.

The brew is a nod to the big IPA's of the US. A big chunk of rye is is used to give the beer a spicy, earthiness, mashed up with Cara malts to create a rich. bold mouthfeel. Zesty Southern Hemisphere and American hops are used in abundance to balance the residual sweet malt character. Masses of dry hops are plied after fermentation to spike a wild blend of tropical, spicy aromas.

Beavertown Black Betty

Black & Complex

A black IPA?! The concept revolved around the old chewy sweets Black Jacks and Fruit Salads. A big fat IPA laced with undertones of slight roast and aniseed, blended with huge tropical aromas of Pacific West Coast hops. The hint of roast is gained by using Carafa malts from Germany. They give the dark colour and a touch of roast with minimal bitterness, thus letting the hops fly and fly!

Brooklyn Lager

Brooklyn Lager

abv: 5.2%

Amber & Smooth

Brooklyn Lager is amber-gold in color and displays a firm malt center supported by a refreshing bitterness and floral hop aroma. Caramel malts show in the finish. The aromatic qualities of the beer are enhanced by “dry-hopping”, the centuries-old practice of steeping the beer with fresh hops as it undergoes a long, cold maturation. The result is a wonderfully flavorful beer, smooth, refreshing and very versatile with food.

A Duvel is still seen as the reference among more full-bodied lagers. Its bouquet is lively and tickles the nose with an element of citrus which even tends towards grapefruit thanks to the use of only the highest-quality hop varieties. This is also reflected in the flavour, which is beautifully balanced with a hint of spiciness. Thanks to its high CO2 content, this beer has a wonderful roundness in the mouth. A Duvel is both the perfect thirst quencher and the ideal aperitif.

Headlands Groupe G Belgian Rye

Headlands Groupe G Belgian Rye

abv: 7.6%

Amber & Complex

Groupe G pours a dirty orange with a mid-sized, pillow-y, off-white head. Belgian aromas jump out of the can on the crack; in the glass, you get bubblegum, tropical fruit esters, banana, peach, a sharp spice bite, and hint of farmhouse funk. The first swallow is beautiful – sweet tropical flavors of guava and berry play off the spice snap of the rye, and the hop bitterness is fairly restrained. It gets more flower-y on subsequent swallows, almost like a Belgian hibiscus IPA with rye, while kumquat and bubblegum flavors come to dominate the finish. This beer goes in a lot of different directions at once, but it's all pretty cohesive and original, not to mention delicious.
