REVIEWS

Here's a selection of some reviews about our entertainment by customers and the press:

"Tony Crosby and Stranger Blue was a delight to blues lovers. Although the keyboards were a tad 'understated', Tony took this onboard and had the necessary adjustments in place for the 2nd set, and what an improvement. It was nice to see that the psoters had been removed from the back wall. These are a source of consternation to photographers as we like to see an uncluttered background. Some bands actually bring with them a black curtain, so it's obvious that they would prefer pics without a distracting background. My only reservation about the new pics on the wall is that they should have been mounted with non-reflective glass so as not to show flash reflected. Unfortunately, pub interior designers or fitters don't take this into consideration. And if they do, why wasn't it done from the outset? There was an opportunity to remove the TV set to a more fitting location. Although I can appreciate customer's wanting to watch perhaps some sporting occasion from the bar itself, I still think it is an obtrusive feature. It was good to see the new floor. It was obvious that it had been 'relaid' because I have many pics of what it used to look like, so no trying to pull the wool over my eyes. I've been a regular customer for a fair number of years, and would like to be so for many more.." -review by oRye3gQ= v
