Burns Night Beer Festival
The Lion Inn Scottish Beer Festival in Celebration of Burns Night
Historically Scottish beers tend to be darker, sweeter and less heavy hopped than those south of the border.
The classic styles are: Light 60/- & low in strength
Heavy 70/- & Medium
Export 80/- & Strong
Wee Heavy 90/- & like Barley wine
The /- Shilling sign denoted the invoice price according to ABV ie the Duty
The Breweries we will be showcasing over the Weekend 22nd Jan- 25th Jan are:
Belhaven (E Lothian), Houston (Renfrewshire), Kelburn (Renfrewshire), Stewart (Edinburgh), Fyne (Argyll), Atlas (Kinlochleven), William Bros (Alloa), Traditional Scottish Ale (stirling)
